People Helping People

Community Giving

Through financial contributions, resource donations and staff volunteering, Red Canoe supports several causes in our community.

We’re dedicated to helping better our communities through a wide variety of sponsorship and education programs. We also provide support to select events within our branch communities.

Fill the Canoe

Red Canoe believes every child deserves the chance to start the school year with the right tools to succeed. That’s why we founded the Fill the Canoe community school supply drive. As our largest philanthropic event, Fill the Canoe is active in all of our branch communities and collectively we have raised and matched over 100,000 lbs since its inception in 2007.

Red Canoe Credit Union has been partnering with the United Way of Cowlitz/Wahkiakum for over fifty years! Staff from the Cowlitz County branches team up for a project each year on the Day of Caring.

Financial Education

We want our communities to be financially healthy! Our Community Engagement team and branch staff visit schools, social service agencies, and workplaces to share their knowledge about personal financing. They teach basic financial education to people of all ages.

If you’re interested in us coming to you to teach a class or hold a seminar, please contact us! We can facilitate everything from basic personal finance, to learning about credit scores.
