      This scholarship program was created in the memory of Wally C. Ohlfs, founding manager of Red Canoe Credit Union.

      Each year, Red Canoe Credit Union awards $28,000 in scholarships to members who excel academically and contribute to their community.

      For this application period, Red Canoe Credit Union will award 6 scholarships to undergraduates worth $4,000, and 1 scholarship worth $4,000 to a graduate student. Click below to start your application for the 2026 application period.

      About Our Scholarships

      We offer two types of scholarships: six $4,000 scholarships for undergraduates in memory of Wally C. Ohlfs, our founding manager, and one $4,000 scholarship for graduate students, honoring Brenda Godfrey and Jack Elms from Cowlitz Credit Union, which merged with Red Canoe in 2014.
