My career in financial advising began in 2001. I quickly moved into a position that would allow me to work on my passion of holistic financial planning.
I started with Red Canoe in July of 2012, which proved to be the perfect place for me. Financial planning is unique here, because like the credit union, our focus is putting the members first! This is what I love about what I do. Financials come naturally for me, but the passion I have for helping people identify, plan, and achieve their dreams and goals is where the true joy comes from.
The most rewarding and enjoyable moments are when my clients walk away from a meeting with a sense of relief. They have a plan, and have a partner in me. Together, we will navigate their financial future.
As much as I enjoy my career, I greatly enjoy my home life as well. My husband, Deric, and I have been married since 2008, and we have two wonderful kiddos. If I am not at my desk, I am playing soccer or coaching youth soccer, performing duties as PTO President, kayaking, fishing, hiking, gardening, or volunteering for a youth cause. I am originally from Tacoma, WA, and when I travel north to service clients from our Puyallup, Federal Way, and Covington branches, I always set aside time to have dinner with family and friends from my hometown.
I am confident in the partnership I have with my clients. We focus on each of their financial goals and utilize the best products and services to reach those goals!

Red Canoe Credit Union partners with CUNA Mutual Group to offer financial services to credit union members. I have worked for CUNA Mutual Group for twelve years, and have been at Red Canoe Financial Group since 2016.
I love to provide direction and clarity for whatever financial goal or challenge a member is facing. Although many members are very excited as they are headed into retirement, with that also comes nervousness. Transitioning from saving for retirement, to turning your retirement accounts into a comfortable income can be intimidating. Eliminating that fear, and showing members the income they can create gets me excited about what I do everyday.
I started working with a couple last year on their retirement plan. Their goal was 2018, or later, if needed. They shared with me that they had been on the hunt for “the perfect property” for 35 years, but were doubtful they’d find the retirement spot of their dreams. One of their retirement goals was to ensure they had enough money available to purchase the property and still have the retirement they dreamt of. I ran some numbers with them, and gave them a green light for the amount to spend. Several months had gone by, when I got an awesome call from them telling me they had found their dream property! They wanted to run it by me one more time before making the offer. Sharing in the joy and excitement of clients is one of the best things about this.
I love spending time with my family when I’m not in the office. My husband and I love camping, riding bikes and kayaking with our three children. I also have a step-daughter and one year old grandson. You may also find me in the kitchen in my off-time, where I can bake a pretty good cheesecake.
