Red Canoe in our Community
Red Canoe Credit Union believes in giving back to the communities around us. We’re dedicated to helping better our communities through a wide variety of sponsorship and education programs. Through financial contributions, resource donations and staff volunteering, Red Canoe supports several events in our community
Children’s Miracle Network
Since 1996, the staff at Red Canoe Credit Union has voluntarily raised funds for the Children’s Miracle Network through our Credit Unions for Kids program. Since it’s inception, we have raised over $129,000, with 100% of these funds going directly to local Children’s hospitals in our communities. We’re proud of the dedication and commitment from our staff and our members to make this monumental difference in the lives of the children around us.
Red Canoe – W.C. (Wally) Ohlfs Scholarship
Each year, Red Canoe awards 12 college scholarships to Red Canoe members wishing to further their education. Our scholarship application is available online from December through March each year and open to graduating high school students with Red Canoe Credit Union accounts.
Red Canoe around the Community
We know there are several worthy causes in our community, but at this time Red Canoe cannot donate to:
- Individuals
- Political or advocacy groups
- School field trips, tours, clubs or sport activities
- Activities, groups or events not in an Red Canoe branch community
If you would like to inquire about your event being sponsored by Red Canoe, please send us an e-mail with detailed descriptions of the event, suggested donation amounts and contact information. All requests for sponsorships must be submitted in writing.
